In the heart of Carrara’s marble mountains.

MarmoTour is in the Carrara marble basin, in the province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany.

A12 motorway exit: Carrara.

Tourist coaches: check the dedicated coach route before choosing your motorway exit.

Choose your means of transport and open the dedicated route.

Pass through Ponti di Vara Open Ponti di Vara

Entrance Ravaccione Open Ravaccione entrance

Leave the A12 motorway at Carrara and turn left towards Carrara, the mountains and the quarries.
Continue along Viale Galileo Galilei to the traffic lights at Viale Cristoforo Colombo, the Via Aurelia SS1.
Keep to the right-hand lane and turn right onto the Via Aurelia SS1.
At the first roundabout, take the third exit following signs for “Carrara Centro / monti e cave” (town centre / mountains / quarries).
Stay on Viale XX Settembre for about ten minutes until you reach central Carrara, then keep right and follow signs for the hospital.
At the fork near the hospital, take the road on the left towards Miseglia.
Pass through the village and continue to the small bridge; on your right you will see the old iron bridge of the Ferrovia Marmifera marble railway.
At the stop sign, turn left uphill towards Miseglia and follow the road through Ponti di Vara.
At L’Incanto bar, turn left towards Piastra and Ravaccione, pass through the short tunnels and continue to the Antica Stazione di Ravaccione.

Leave the A12 motorway at Carrara and turn left towards Carrara, the mountains and the quarries.
Continue along Viale Galileo Galilei to the traffic lights at Viale Cristoforo Colombo, the Via Aurelia SS1.
Keep to the right-hand lane and turn right onto the Via Aurelia SS1.

At L’Incanto bar, do not turn towards Ravaccione: continue straight ahead for about 300 metres to the Fantiscritti entrance.
The ticket office is in a wooden cabin on the left, where organised access to the tour begins.

From the Carrara exit on the A12 motorway, take the Via Aurelia SS1 towards Carrara/Massa.
At the roundabout where it meets Viale XX Settembre, continue straight ahead on the Via Aurelia SS1.
After reaching the Arco della Cementeria, continue straight ahead to the next roundabout.
At the roundabout, enter the Strada dei Marmi.
Follow signs for Miseglia/Fantiscritti (NO Colonnata) to the Fantiscritti forecourt and the MarmoTour Ticket Point.

Strada dei Marmi — mandatory for tourist coaches Open Strada dei Marmi

At the Massa exit on the A12 motorway, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Via Massa Avenza/SP3 towards Carrara.
Continue along Via Massa Avenza.
Turn left onto Via Dorsale, then right onto Via Gottara/SP49.
At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Strada dei Marmi.
Follow the Strada dei Marmi to its connection with the marble-basin road network, then follow signs for Miseglia/Fantiscritti (NO Colonnata).
Continue along Via Miseglia-Fantiscritti to the Fantiscritti forecourt; the MarmoTour Ticket Point is on the left.
